Thai SCG grants scholarships to needy students

Thailand’s group SCG in coordination with Tuoi Tre newspaper on July 23 granted 400 scholarships to poor students with good marks in school as part of its annual programme “ Sharing the Dream”.

Thescholarships were given to students in Ho Chi Minh City and the sixsoutheastern provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria –VungTau, Tay Ninh and Binh Thuan. Fifty student s in Hanoi will receivetheir scholarships next week.

Apart from 3 million VND (137 USD),they also received learning tools and a gift from SCG. A one-day livingskill session was also provided to help improve their self confidenceand creativity.
