Thanh Hoa develops animal husbandry

The central province of Thanh Hoa is taking a number of measures to develop animal husbandry for the creation of high-quality livestock products.

Thanh Hoa (VNA) – The central provinceof Thanh Hoa is taking a number of measures to develop animal husbandry for thecreation of high-quality livestock products.

The provincial People’s Committee will directthe Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to push ahead withrestructuring and focusing on products that are of local advantages and marketdemand.

It is encouraged to shift from small-scalefarming households to large-scale ones, applying high technologies to ensurefood safety and disease prevention.

Authorities will enable businesses to invest inthe field according to the closed production chain to reduce cost and increasebreeding efficiency, as well as build a planning scheme for raising poultry inan efficient, safe, and sustainable manner.

Speeding up livestock projects is also one ofthe crucial measures that the province will carry out to support localinvestors.

The locality moves to direct the Department ofAgriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the Vietnam Diary ProductJSC (Vinamilk) to accelerate the construction of milk cow farms with 16,000heads in Yen Dinh district.

Particularly, the department will shake handswith the TH True Milk company to develop a herd of 20,000 milk cows in NhuThanh, Nhu Xuan and Nong Cong districts, while coordinating with Thai DuongAnimal Feed Company to implement a project on  building an industrial cattle-feed producingfactory with a capacity of 100,000 tonnes per year, breeding 70,000 pigs, andprocessing farm produce in Ngoc Lac district.
