Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – The central province of Thua Thien-Hue strives to attract more capital in 2019  strives to attract 15 domestic and foreign projects worth 400million USD this year.

Areas in focus are tourism, real estate, industrial andeconomic infrastructure, non-tariff areas, manufacturing industry, health care,education – training, support industry for textile and garment and others invalue chains in Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific.

Amid the fourth industrial revolution, the province givestop priority to developing information technology workforce, high-techagriculture and bio technology.

It will also prioritise investors with major brands, banks’prestigious partners, domestic and foreign investment funds, and successful domesticenterprises.

Further attention will be paid to calling for investmentfrom traditional markets such as the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand,Japan, Hong Kong (China), the US, Europe, countries benefiting from Vietnam’sentry to bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements, and investors inChina who are impacted by the US – China trade war.

In January 2019, Thua Thien-Hue licensed 8 projects,including four foreign ones worth over 60 million USD and four domestic onesvalued at more than 5.7 trillion VND. Meanwhile, an existing project adjusted itsinvestment capital up by over 7.4 trillion VND.-VNA
