Hanoi (VNA) – A tra fish and Vietnameseseafood product fair will be held from October 6-8 at theAgricultural Exhibition Centre in Hanoi’s Cau Giay district.
The fair is an opportunity for businesses, distributors andconsumers to popularise their images and brand names, promote consumptionof tra fish and fish products in the domestic market ingeneral and the northern market in particular, and boost the expansion ofinternational and regional markets, partcicularly the Chinese market. In addition, it is also a chance for businesses to expand,connecting distributors, supermarkets and consumers inside and outside thecountry.
The fair is expected to attract over 100 booths of domestic andforeign enterprises, showcasing seafood products such as tra fish,value added products and auxiliary products for tra fishproduction and other key Vietnamese seafood items.
Tran Dinh Luan, deputy general director of Directorate ofFisheries, said the tra fish products exhibited at this fairmust be fully labeled and the origin should be easy to trace.
The fisheries directorate will support to expand distributionchannels to consumers via wholesale and retail centres in the north, therebyboosting sales in the potential domestic market of 92 million people, Luanadded.
Under the framework of the tra fish andVietnamese seafood product fair this year, three main events will take place -a workshop on tra fish production and consumption, anexhibition with over 100 booths and a cuisine programme introducing dishes madefrom tra fish by famous chefs.-VNA
