Trade exhibitions promote leather, shoes and building

The 11 th annual Shoes and Leather Exhibition features about 80producers and suppliers from 15 countries and territories, includingChina, Hong Kong, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, Italy, India and Vietnam.

The participants bring with them equipment and machinery for tanning,making leather items, shoe accessories, chemicals and leather products.

The convention will include a conference on promoting Vietnam’sleather and footwear exports, at which attendants will learn aboutsales guidelines for potential markets like the EU, Japan and America.Last year, Vietnam’s sales to overseas markets reached almost 4.8billion USD and the figure is expected to reach 6.2 billion USD nextyear.

The three-day convention is organised by the Vietnam Leather andFootwear Association, the Hong Kong company Top Repute and Hien DatCompany.

Also opening on August 27 at SECC is the Vietnam InternationalConstruction and Building Exhibition, with exhibitors from countriesand territories such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Republicof Korea, the UK , Germany and Saudi Arabia.

The construction expo will include two minor shows: the first onrefrigeration, air-con and ventilation systems; the second on securitysystems and fire fighting and protection.

Exhibition organizer Top Repute coordinates with Hien Dat Co and VCCIInternational Fair and Exhibition Centre to run this event.

The exhibition will run until on August 29 at SECC, 799 Nguyen Van Linh Avenue, district 7./.
