Hanoi (VNA) 𓆉- Numerous critical transportation projects continue construction during Tet, aiming to exceed designated timelines and secure early completion in line with directives from the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Transport.

Nguyen Dinh Tai, head of the construction site at Corporation 36, stated that the progress of the sections of the North-South Expressway project (phase 2021-2025) is still on track according to the plan, despite the nearly 4-month-long rainy season since 2023. He said the Corporation has prioritized the implementation of flood drainage projects. To date, all tunnel locations and major box culverts have been completed. Emphasizing progress and quality as top priorities, since the beginning of the Lunar New Year in 2023, the Corporation has instructed the Project Management Board to devise plans for organizing construction activities before, during, and after Tet holiday. The construction plan of '3 shifts, 4 crews' was developed to make up for the delays caused by the rainy months. Leading the construction of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 Project, Cao Dang Hoat, Chairman of Dinh An Group, said the company has urged workers to continue with construction on site throughout Tet to accelerate progress. Leveraging the dry season, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam has directed contractors to fully mobilize, augmenting manpower and machinery, and to work overtime both day and night, in order to expedite the construction of the Long Thanh International Airport and Tan Son Nhat Airport projects. Evren Isit Bingol, the head of Vietur stated that during the Tet holiday, there will be increase or laborers and machinery to accelerate construction progress. The construction contractor has also motivated the workforce beforehand and provided proper welfare benefits as regulated. With approximately 15 months left until the completion of the Terminal 3 project at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the contractor has mobilized 1,400 workers to work through the Tet holiday to ensure the project stays on schedule. According to Vu The Phiet, CEO of Airports Corporation of Vietnam, the Corporation will organize a New Year's Eve celebration at the construction site for both Vietnamese and international workers. They will continue construction work throughout the Tet  following the Prime Minister's directive with the spirit of 'No  excuses, no difficulties, only discuss progress, not setbacks'. Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Duy Lam has indicated that due to the majority of critical transportation projects being in the final stages, many construction sites under the Ministry of Transport will continue operations during the Tet holiday this year. During Tet, the Ministry conducted an evaluation and commendation ceremony for collectives and individuals who have excelled in labor and production competitions at transportation project sites, according to Lam./.
