Outgoing Ukrainian Ambassador to Vietnam Oleksiy Shovkoplias has been presented with the insignia “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” in recognition of his contributions to enhancing the two countries’ solidarity and friendship.
Speaking at the event in Hanoi on September 24, the diplomat expressed his great honour to receive such a noble award from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations.
He pledged to exert efforts to boost the bilateral ties in any position.
During his working tenure since August 2010, the ambassador has paid attention to people-to-people diplomacy alongside activities to tighten the bilateral friendship.
He has also actively participated in major celebrations of the two countries while assisting with delegation exchanges at all levels.-VNA
