VFF inks cooperative deal with Russian social organisations
The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee signed a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation programme during 2018-2023 with Russia’s Civic Chamber and the All-Russia People’s Front in Moscow on September 21.

Moscow(VNA) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee signed amemorandum of understanding on the cooperation programme during 2018-2023 withRussia’s Civic Chamber and the All-Russia People’s Front in Moscow on September21.
The deal was inkedduring a working session between President of the VFF Central Committee TranThanh Man and Secretary of the Russian Civic Chamber Valery Fadeev as part ofthe former’s visit to Russia.
The VFF leaderstressed that Vietnam always attaches much importance to the traditionalfriendship with Russia, and consistently works to promote the comprehensivestrategic partnership between the two countries.
Vietnam considers Russia both a traditional and a comprehensive strategicpartner, thus giving top priority to Russia in its foreign policies, he said.
Introducing the host about the VFF’s roles, positions, and functions, Man saidthat the VFF and the Civic Chamber of Russia have maintained sound cooperativerelations through delegation exchange and experience sharing.
Valery Fadeev highlightedthat the two sides have had various practical exchanges and meetings.Particularly, during the visit to Vietnam in December, 2017 made by adelegation from the Russian Civic Chamber, both sides reached consensus on thesigning of a memorandum of understanding among the Russian Chamber, theAll-Russia People’s Front and the VFF during 2018-2023.
He hoped that the deal will help enhance cooperative ties among the threeorganisations, and believed that this is an important step forward in thecomprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Secretary of theAll-Russia People’s Front Alexey Viktorovich, for his part, took note ofsimilarities in the missions of the VFF and the All-Russia People’s Front,including protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the people, andconducting social supervision and criticism. He affirmed that he is willing toshare experience with Vietnam in those fields.
The same day, the VFF high-level delegation visited and planted trees at theheadquarters of the All-Russia People’s Front, and attended a roundtable on“social supervision”. They then visited the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairsand held talks with Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov on measures to bolsterthe Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.

In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
