Vietnam administers over 30.4 million COVID-19 vaccine doses

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam had administered over 30.4 million doses ofvaccines against COVID-19 by noon on September 14, according to data from theNational Immunisation Portal.

From September 9-13, more than 1 million injections wereperformed each day.

Localities with the highest vaccination rates (number ofinjections/number of allocated vaccines) are Quang Ninh, Dong Thap, Binh Phuoc,Vinh Long, and Ca Mau.

In Hanoi, as of 6am on September 14, the city hadadministered 4.78 million doses, including 4.38 million first jab and 404,000 second jab.With more than 5.3 million doses of vaccines allocated, Hanoi has achieved 80.6percent of the progress.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s current largest COVID-19hotspot, has injected a total of more than 8.1 million doses, including 6.6million first jab and 1.54 million second injection.

The Health Ministry has urged the two cities, and BinhDuong, Dong Nai and Long An to speed up their vaccination progress.

Vietnam has to date received more than 35 million doses ofCOVID-19 vaccines of different types, mostly AstraZeneca./.
