Vietnam Airlines licensed to conduct 12 repatriation flights from US
Vietnam Airlines has officially been licensed to operate 12 flights repatriating Vietnamese citizens from the US this year, the national flag carrier said on June 10.
Hanoi (VNA) –Vietnam Airlines has officially been licensed to operate 12 flightsrepatriating Vietnamese citizens from the US this year, the national flagcarrier said on June 10.
It noted that the licencegranted by the US Transport Security Administration (TSA) on June 8 is the mostimportant legal condition for those flights to take off.
Vietnam Airlines is currentlythe first and only airline in the country to be licensed by the TSA to fly tothe US.
The carrier said it is makinga plan on operating the 12 flights, with the first scheduled to depart for theUS on June 22 and return two days later.
Wide-body aircraft likeBoeing 787 and Airbus A350 will be used for those flights, the firm said,adding that strict anti-COVID-19 measures will be applied to ensure healthsafety./.
