Vietnam attends political parties’ conference in Russia
A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam attended a conference on the role of political parties in developing Russia-ASEAN relations hosted by the United Russia Party in Vladivostok on Dec 7-10.

Moscow (VNA) – A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) attended aconference on the role of political parties in developing Russia-ASEANrelations hosted by the United Russia Party (URP) in Vladivostok, Russia, betweenDecember 7-10.
The conference wasattended by representatives from political parties of ASEAN member nations andthe URP. Acting General Secretary of the InternationalConference of Asian Political Party Jeon Jae-man was present at the event as anobserver.
Delegates discussed topics related to dialogue among parties as a mechanism forenhancing relations between Russia and ASEAN members.
They highlighted the role played by political parties, especially rulingparties, in promoting ties among countries. They also strongly opposed externalintervention in countries’ internal affairs.
The Vietnamese delegates, led by deputy head of the CPV Central Committee’sCommission for External Affairs Nguyen Tuan Phong, contributed to theconference’s agenda.
On the sidelines of theevent, the Vietnamese officials held a working session with representativesfrom the URP, during which they discussed measures to strengthen the friendshipbetween the two parties and states.-VNA
