Vietnam-China tourism, trade fair opens

The Vietnam-China tourism and trade fair 2011 opened on Dec. 16 in the border city of Mong Cai , in Quang Ninh province.
The Vietnam-China tourism and trade fair 2011 opened on Dec. 16 in theborder city of Mong Cai , in Quang Ninh province.

The fair, titled “Integration and development” features around 300booths, with many of the two countries’ typical products and services ondisplay. There are also booths from Indonesia and the Republic ofKorea .

The main activities within the frameworkof the fair include an international conference, contract andcooperative agreements among businesses as well as sports and culturalexchange programmes between Vietnam and China .

Director of the Quang Ninh provincial Department of Industry and TradeNguyen Manh Ha said the fair is a great opportunity for the twocountries’ businesses to exchange goods, promote import and exportactivities and investment as well as tourism and trade cooperation,contributing to strengthening trade relations between the two countriesand the two adjacent provinces in particular.

Thefair has been held in rotation between Vietnam ’s province of QuangNinh and China ’s Guangxi province for many years.

It will end on Dec. 20./.
