Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hassent a message of condolence to his UK counterpart Theresa May over the explosionin Manchester on May 22 that caused many deaths and injuries. On May 23, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang stressedthat Vietnam strongly condemns any terrorist attack in any form and holds thatall terrorist acts must be severely punished. She also offered deep sympathy to the UK Government, peopleand families of victims in the attack. The spokesperson said so far there is no report about Vietnamesenationals affected by the explosion, citing the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK. She added that the Embassy is keeping close contact withlocal agencies to monitor the situation and is ready to provide support andprotection measures in case any Vietnamese citizens need help. Vietnamese nationals who need help can contact the Embassy’shotline at 44 - 742 363 8350 or the emergency switchboard for citizenprotection at 84 – 981 84 84 84 to receive support.-VNA
