Some 200 local and international experts took part in a workshop on September 10 to share information and practices on managing and improving hospital quality.
The workshop was organised by the management board of the World Bank-funded Northeast and Red River Delta Regions Health System Support (NORRED) Project.
At the event, delegates from the Ministry of Health, the World Bank, Japan, the United States, Malaysia, France and Germany and central- and provincial-level hospitals in Vietnam discussed the current status of hospital service quality management and improvement while sharing practices and solutions to enhance the effectiveness of the efforts.
The project was provided with a 150-million-USD credit by the International Development Association (IDA) to support Vietnam in implementing national strategies and policies on healthcare system development which involve easing hospital overloading, delivering better quality healthcare services and improving public access to services.
It has been carried out in 13 provinces in the northeast and Red River Delta regions since 2013 and will run through 2019.-VNA
