OnJuly 7, Son held talks with a delegation from the DPRK’s SupremePeople’s Assembly led by Vice Chairman Ahn Dong-chun, during which bothsides expressed their delight at the growing traditional friendship andcooperation between the two countries, the Quan doi Nhan dan reported.
They pledged to work closely to reinforce and promote the ties in the future.
The two sides briefed each other on the realities in their respectivecountries, discussed measures to bolster partnerships and shared viewson issues of mutual concern.
The same day, Son andthe Vietnamese delegation paid tribute to late DPRK Presidents KimIl-sung and Kim Jong-il in Mansudae Hill. They also visited andpresented equipment to the Vietnamese language faculty at the PyongyangUniversity of Foreign Studies.
On June 6, Chairman of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly Choe Thae-bok also hosted a reception for the Vietnamese delegation.-VNA
