Vietnam has remained clear of COVID-19 community transmission for 33 straight days as no fresh case was confirmed on May 19 morning, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam has remained clear of COVID-19 community transmissionfor 33 straight days as no fresh case was confirmed on May 19 morning,according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention andControl.
Thenational count now stays at 324, including 184 imported cases, the committeereported.
Asmany as 11,326 people are under health monitoring or quarantine, 302 of them inhospitals, 8,929 at concentrated facilities, and the rest at home and place ofresidence.
Atotal of 263 patients or 81 percent have recovered while the remainder arebeing treated at eight provincial and central medical facilities.
Amongthe active patients, two have tested negative for the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2that causes the acute respiratory disease once and six negative at least twice.
