Vietnam football team ranks second in Southeast Asia
Vietnam’s national men’s football team rose four places in the latest FIFA rankings to No. 130 in the world and second in the Southeast Asian region, behind the Philippines.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s national men’s football team rosefour places in the latest FIFA rankings to No. 130 in the world and second inthe Southeast Asian region, behind the Philippines.
Vietnam beat Cambodia 2-1 in the qualifying round of the Asian Cup 2019in early September, winning the team 10 more points to bring its total to 241in the final rankings.
Meanwhile, Thailand, which lost 1-2 to Australia, dropped seven placesto the world’s No. 137.

A hundred of Vietnamese singers, actors, MCs and models recorded a song together to cheer on Vietnam’s National Football Team at the region’s biggest sports event, the 29th SEA Games in Malaysia next week.
Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.
