Berlin (VNA) – Vice President of the VietnamInnovation Network in Europe (VINEU) Dr. Cao The Anh has said the VINEU expects to contributeto the homeland's development via B2B matching, technological transfer and launchof projects for the country’s sustainable growth.

In an interview recentlygranted to a Vietnam News Agency correspondent, Anh said founded on November 4,2011, the VINEU gathers experts and intellectuals not only in Europe but alsoaround the world to contribute to Vietnam’s development.

They offered reports atevents related to circular economy, digital transformation and support forstart-ups that were held by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and HueInnovation Hub. The VINEU also held trips to Vietnam for Europeanbusinesspeople to connect with their Vietnamese partners.

In the near future, thenetwork will partner with the VietnameseYouth and Student Federation and the Union of Vietnamese People Associations inEurope, and the network of Vietnamese intellectuals and innovativestart-ups globally to develop membership and hold thematic discussions to shareexperience and expertise, as well as propel technological transfer to Vietnam,he said.

According to him, with itsimportant role in ASEAN, Vietnam will play an instrumental part in liftingASEAN-EU ties to a greater height.

He also hailed PrimeMinister Pham Minh Chinh’s visits to Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Belgium asan opportunity to strengthen Vietnam's trust and relations with the three nations and Europe in general.

In order to take advantageof the shifting of global supply chains to Southeast Asian nations followingthe pandemic, he called on the Vietnamese firms to improve theircompetitiveness by adopting technological advances, digital transformation anddiversifying supply chains.

The Vietname💖se Government should ensure energy safety and environment protection to achieve sustainable economicdevelopment, he said./.
