The event – the first major one of the country’spresidency of the Group of 20 leading economies - attracted more than 500 energyindustry heavyweights and thousands of experts and delegates from over100 countries across the world. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the energy sector plays a majorrole in deciding the future of the world in the 21st century and India is oneof the strongest voices today in developing new resources and in theenergy transition.

The focus of theglobal energy market has shifted to Asia which is home to 60% of the world'spopulation before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
