Vietnam, Laos foster cooperation in religious affairs

Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Bui Than꧒h Ha has stated that his commit🍎tee is willing to send its senior officials to Laos to give lectures in training courses on religious affairs for Laos officials.

Meeting with President of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Central Committee Saysomphone Phomvihane in Hanoi on August 31, Ha said that the committee is revising and updating its teaching documents to enhance efficiency.
He proposed that the two sides continue working closely to improve the effectiveness of religion work in both countries in line with their cooperation agreement signed in 2014.
On his part, Saysomphone Phomvihane expressed his delight at the fruitful cooperation between the two bodies since 2007 and appreciated Vietnam’s assistance in the organisation of training courses for officials of the LFNC as well as other Lao agencies. He said he hopes that the Vietnamese side will continue supporting Laos in short-term and long-term personnel training in Vietnam. He also asked for the Government Committee for Religious Affairs’ help in building teaching documents applicable in Laos.-VNA
