Vietnam, Laos foster inspection cooperation

Speakingto the guests, Inspector General Huynh Phong Tranh said their visitoffers a good chance for both agencies to share experience in inspectionwork and in combating corruption.
This contributes to bolstering their cooperation in particular and the bilateral friendship in general, he added.

Alongwith the cooperation in all fields between the two countries, thegovernment inspection agencies have maintained their close ties fornearly 20 years.

The two sides signed cooperationagreements in the field in 1998, 2005, 2007 and 2012, while keeping theexchange of visits at all levels, contributing considerably tocompleting politic tasks of the two agencies.

Chitmany spokehighly of Vietnam’s experience in combating corruption in recent years,expressing his hope that the two agencies will continue furtherpromoting their links in the coming time.

During theirweek-long stay in Vietnam, which started from July 6, the Lao guestswill pay a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. They willalso hold talks with a delegation from the Party Central Committee’sCommission for Inspection and work with inspection agencies of Ho ChiMinh City and Da Nang city.-VNA
