Vietnam, Laos ink MoU on transport cooperation

Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang and Lao Minister of Public Works and Transport Buonchanh Sinthavong signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on transport cooperation from 2016-2025 in Vientiane on September 14.

The MoU laid a legal foundation for Vietnam and Laos to plan transport linkages and develop a modern and sustainable transport system between the two countries, paving the way for further expansion of bilateral trade.

It also pointed out that each side is responsible for mobilising resources for transport investment in respective country.

The deal facilitates better coordination between Vietnam and Laos, particularly in identifying ke🀅y road projects connecting the two countries and other ASEAN member sta🅷tes and attracting investment.-VNA
