Vietnam, Laos provinces bust cross-border drug trafficking ring
The border guard force in the Central Highland province of Kon Tum have coordinated with the police of Laos’ Attapeu province to bust a major drug trafficking ring.

The joint forces of Vietnam and Laos caught five Laosnationals red-handed, transporting 60,000 synthetic drug pills and two kilograms of marijuana inAttapeu near the Vietnam-Laos border at 3am on March 14.
The forces also seized one car, one motorbike, and a military gun,among others.
The arrest came after seven months ofjoint investigations by Kon Tum’s border guard force and Attapeu police.

The People’s Court of the northern province of Quang Ninh on November 13 sentenced five drug traffickers to death in a case involving a transnational drug trafficking ring and 148 bricks of heroin.
Police recently cracked down on a major transnational ring that trafficked heroin from Cambodia to Taiwan (China) through Vietnam, the Ministry of Public Security said on December 5.

In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
