Vietnam, Poland boast great potential for partnerships

Warsaw (VNA) – Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh met with Polish Presidไent Andrzej Duda on June 8 on the occasion of attending the 26th Global Summitꦜ of Women in Warsaw capital city.
The Vietnamese Vice President thanked the precious assistance Poland has given to her country throughout history.
President Andrzej Duda affirmed that Poland always attaches importance to reinforcing traditional amity and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam. He spoke highly of the significant development successes that the Southeast Asian nation has secured.
Both sides shared the view on the thriving bilateral cooperation during the past 66 years. Notably, Poland continues to be Vietnam’s top trade partner in the central and eastern European region with two-way trade at 761 million USD last year.
The two countries boast much more potential for partnerships in such spheres as food technology, textile – garment, machinery, medical equipment, medicine and construction.
Vice President Thinh pledged that Vietnam will provide an optimal and safe environment for foreign investors, including those from Poland.
Also on June 8, she had a meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy’s staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Poland.-VNA
