– Vietnam rejects all the contents regarding Vietnam of theChinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson’s statement on sovereignty over Truong Sa(Spratly) archipelago on November 8.

VietnameseForeign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang made the statement in response toreporters’ question on November 13.

“Inthis regard, Vietnam has repeatedly stated that it has sufficient historicaland legal evidence to prove its sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and TruongSa archipelagoes in line with international law. Historical reality has proventhis,” she said.

Thespokesperson reiterated Vietnam’s consistent stance that all internationaldisputes, including those relating to sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, mustbe settled by peaceful measures in accordance with international law and theUnited Nations Charter.

Vietnamwishes that China will join efforts in developing the bilateral relationship andmaintaining peace, security and stability in the region, Hang said./.
