Vietnam supports Russia’s investors in oil, gas sector

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam will continue encouraging Russian oil and gasenterprises to expand investment in the country, said Deputy Prime MinisterTrinh Dinh Dung.

Thecountry has been supporting the partnership between Vietnamese and Russian oiland gas companies to enable them to seek cooperation opportunities in Vietnam,Russia and a third country, Dung stated at his reception for Russian DeputyMinister of Energy Sentyurin Yuri in Hanoi on May 18.

Bothhost and guest agreed that collaboration in energy, especially oil and gas, hasbeen received special attention of the governments as it is one of the main andeffective cooperative sectors in bilateral relations, which has generated hugerevenue for their countries.

Dungasked Russia to continue creating favourable conditions for Rusvietpetro andGazpromviet joint ventures to effectively implement oil and gas productionprojects in Russia.

Theyalso exchanged views on several shortcomings during the implementation processof the projects and discussed measures to further boost bilateral cooperationin this field.-VNA
