Vietnam Trade union delegation visits Laos

A delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) led by Deputy Permanent President Nguyen Hoa Binh is making a working visit to Laos, beginning on Aug. 22.

On Aug. 24, the delegation exchanged experiences in trade union work with more than 200 Lao participants.

Atthe exchange, Binh delivered a speech on the role of Vietnam tradeunions in the revolutionary cause and the Vietnam-Laos relations,focusing on friendship and cooperation between the VGCL and the LaoTrade Union Central Committee.

The Vietnamese delegation had aworking session with the Lao Trade Union Central Committee to reviewtheir cooperation and work out plans until 2012.

The two sidesagreed to continue to carry out annual high-level meetings and theexchange of delegations and cooperation between provinces sharing thecommon border.

On this occasion, the delegation visited some economic establishments in Vientiane and some localities./.
