Defense cooperation has also seen progress, with the U.S. handing over five training aircraft to Vietnam and committing 12.5 million USD to Vietnam's efforts to patrol and oversee its fisheries, natural resources at sea. The two sides have also made strides in energy, healthcare, among others.
