Vietnamese businesses in Russia look home

The Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Association in Russia will do its utmost to help its businesses overcome any difficulties, stabilise production and assist the development of the Vietnamese community in Russia.

The assertion was made by Tran Dang Chung, President of theassociation, at a get-together in Moscow on March 2 to review theassociation’s activities in 2012 and devise orientations for 2013.

Chung highlighted the association’s achievements in helping Vietnamesebusinesses map out and implement long-term strategies, penetrate theRussian market, protect fellow members’ legitimate rights, as well asits attendance at the Vietnamese Business Forum in the Czech Republicand its conduct of a market survey in Krasnodar City.

Inaddition, the association and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce andIndustry (VCCI) were successful in jointly organising the Vietnam-RussiaBusiness Forum as part of President Truong Tan Sang’s Russia visitin June, 2012. It has also encouraged organisations to offer assistanceto soldiers on Truong Sa Island, Agent Orange victims, andunderprivileged people in Vietnam.

Mentioning theassociation’s 2013 missions, Chung pointed out that the association willcontinue participating in a number of social activities to strengthensolidarity and develop the Vietnamese community in Russia .

Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Pham Xuan Son highly evaluated andpraised the association’s achievements over the past years, as well asits participation in foreign work, contributing to consolidating theVietnam-Russia relationship.

He stressed that Vietnam beganthe Free Trade Area negotiations with the Customs Alliance of Russia,Belarus , and Kazakhstan , which creates an excellent opportunity forbusinesses from both sides.

He called on theassociation and its Vietnamese business members to contribute to theimportant upcoming Russia visits of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung andNational Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, which will contribute tostrengthening the traditional friendly relations, effective cooperationand comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia.-VNA
