Vietnamese, Chinese localities discuss economic corridor cooperation

Hanoi (VNA) - Discussions on investment and trade, culture,tourism, health care, education, transportation and logistics, as part of the 10th conference on economic corridorcooperation involving Lao Cai, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh of Vietnam and China’sYunnan province, took place in Hanoi on November 13.
The organising board received 40 presentationsfrom management agencies, businesses, business associations, universities,research institutes, and experts on the above issues.
In investment and trade, delegates reviewed the progress of investment ininfrastructure to strengthen inter-provincial and inter-regionaltransportation connectivity, and shared experience in promoting trade connectivity, trade infrastructure development and e-commerce.
In culture, they agreed to enhance thesharing of experience in culture management, preservation and promotion of valuesof cultural heritage, museums, libraries and cinematography while exploringopportunities in cultural industry.
As for tourism, they encouraged theestablishment of demand-stimulating alliances between travel businesses fromboth sides to create tourism packages along the economic corridor, with emphasis on providing stronger support for travel agencies in terms of immigration mechanisms,policies and procedures while building destination surveying and marketing events.
Participants also underscored the need toadopt information technology and digital transformation in transportationindustry in combination with the development of logistics services./.
Leaders of the central province of Thua Thien-Hue and Laos’ Savannakhet province have agreed to further strengthen bilateral links, especially in tourism and education.
The ninth conference on economic corridor cooperation of five provinces and cities, namely Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and Lao Cai of Vietnam and China’s Yunnan is underway in the northern province of Quang Ninh from October 24 – 26.
More than 250 Vietnamese and Chinese delegates gathered at a conference in Hanoi on November 13 to compare notes on how to expand forms of connectivity and cooperation between cities and provinces along the economic corridor to boost economic development in the new situation.
Tuan expressed his confidence that LH, with its expertise and experience, would swiftly implement the urban area project, contributing to a modern urban landscape for the province.

To further strengthen private-sector innovation, Bac Ninh plans to accelerate administrative reforms, build a digital, service-oriented government, and develop an integrated innovation ecosystem that connects businesses with domestic and international institutions, universities, and experts.
The participation of H&M, one of the world's largest fashion corporations, in Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City in early September is considered a special highlight, opening up many cooperation opportunities for Vietnamese businesses in the fashion, textiles and sustainable supply chains.
