Vietnamese diplomats extend New Year greetings to Lao counterparts in France

Paris (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang, and AmbassadorLe Thi Hong Van, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to UNESCO, on April 10 visited the LaoEmbassy on the occasion of the country’s traditional New Yearfestival (Bounpimay).
They extended their best wishes to Lao Ambassador Kham-InhKhitchadet and his spouse and the embassy’s staff and their families.
The visits to Laos by Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will helpcreate new impetus for the Vietnam-Laos cooperation in all channels and fields,Thang stated.
He expressed his hope that the two embassies will promotethe achieved results and support each other to fulfill their assigned tasks toserve the interests of each nation and the ASEAN community.
Lao Ambassador Kham-Inh Khitchadeth proposed the twoembassies create favourable conditions for young diplomats to step up contactsand exchange information to enhance their responsibility in protecting and maintainingthe bilateral relations./.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
