Vietnamese lacquer art promoted in France

On September 14, the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibitions and the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France—both under Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism—jointly launched an exhibition showcasing Vietnamese lacquer paintings and products in France.
At the opening, Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibitions Ma The Anh emphasised the significance of the exhibition, highlighting how the lacquer paintings and sculptures convey unique aesthetic values. He praised the sophisticated, delicate beauty of Vietnamese lacquer art, describing its luxurious, vibrant, yet graceful allure.
He added that the event serves as a platform to promote the Vietnam lacquer art and to strengthen cultural, artistic, and tourism ties between Vietnam and France. Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang commended the event, noting that it offers international visitors a fresh perspective on Vietnam’s culture and people. Through this promotional event, the world sees not only a country of historic resilience but also a rapidly developing nation with a wealth of artistic talent./.
