Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations, has had a working session with a delegation from the People’s Public Security Academy led by Colonel Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truong Tho, Vice Director of the academy, on a working visit to New York.

The Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN held a virtual meeting on December 7 to summarise activities of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Committee in New York this year and handed over its current chairmanship to Brunei.

The Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN, the World Trade Organisation and other international organisations in Geneva, Switzerland, held a fundraising event on October 27 to support flood-hit people in the central region of Vietnam.

During the working term as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council (UNSC) in 2020-2021, Vietnam will work hard to contribute to preventing conflicts, promoting preventive diplomacy and dealing with disputes peacefully in the spirit of Article 6 of the UN Charter.

Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN shared Vietnam’s experience in promoting collaboration with partners to support the deployment of level-2 field hospitals in South Sudan at a discussion on enhancing the efficiency of UN peacekeeping in New York on December 6.

Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN, has lauded the efforts made by countries, the UN and regional and international organisations inrealising the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.

The US side paid special attention to the visit by Minister of Public Security To Lam given it will step up cooperation in security, one of the pillars of the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the US, and the bilateral ties in general, said Ambassador of Vietnam to the US Ha Kim Ngoc.
