Hanoi (VNA) - Chief Justice of the Supreme People'sCourt Nguyen Hoa Binh spoke highly of the effectiveness of cooperation between theVietnamese and Russian supreme courts so far at his talks with visting ChiefJustice of Russia Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Lebedev in Hanoi on June 19.
Binh elaborated that the two sides have exchanged theirhigh-level and expert-level delegations in order to expand collaboration and strengthenresearch in the legislative and judicial fields. The Vietnamese court haslearned a lot from Russia’s experience in court apparatus organisation, such asits overhauling of the policies for judges and juvenile justice.
For the Supreme People's Court to fulfil its mission in therealisation of the strategy for building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law State of Vietnam till 2030 with orientations to 2045, the cooperation in sharinginformation and experience on the law and justice by Russia and its SupremeCourt is of special significance, Binh noted.
He expressed his belief in the growth of theVietnam-Russia ties and in the more practical contributions of the courts’joint work to the countries’ development and traditional ties.
For his part, Lebedev stated the collaboration andfriendship between the two countries have brought about fruitful outcomes, withtheir judicial systems actively coordinating to exchange experiences andimprove the legal system via many signed projects.
He highly appreciated the fact that representatives of theVietnamese justice sector always actively participate in international seminarsand conferences on international disputes, reflecting the desire to solveproblems in accordance with international law.
Lebedev took the occasion to invite Binh to attend the Asia-Pacific judicialconference organised by Russia in the Russian Far East in early this October./.
