“Vietnamese use made-in-Vietnam goods” campaign stepped up

Hanoi (VNA) – The implementation of the “Vietnamese use made-in-Vietnam goods”campaign is a right policy that needs to be stepped up to boost the domesticmarket in the long run.
The task was setby the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc at a conference in Hanoion December 27.
After sevenyears of implementation, 35 affiliate party committees have instructedenterprises and units to implement the movement, helping employees change theirshopping habits towards choosing locally-produced goods and services.
Centralenterprises have stepped up the application of advanced technology and improvedhuman resources to create new quality products, saving trillions of dong.
Speaking at theevent, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc PhamViet Thanh said each member of the 1.3 million-employee bloc must reform its administrationand production system, expand distribution channels and improving the qualityof services and goods, describing it as the only way to win Vietnamese people’strust.
Nguyen ThienNhan, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, praised theimplementation of the campaign by the Party Committee of the CentralEnterprises Bloc, especially the initiative to encourage its enterprises, banksand units to prioritise using each other’s products.
He emphasised the need to raise public awareness of the issue, saying thatproducers should create quality products while Vietnamese consumers should showtheir patriotism by choosing locally made goods.
He recommendedthe committee to review policies and assess reality to develop measures to encouragethe use of domestic goods like bu♛ilding a website introducingdomestically-produced products to consumers.-VNA

It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
