Vietnamese Ambassador Le Quang Long emphasised the historic significance of September 2, 1945, when President Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam's independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

He highlighted the tremendous achievements of the Vietnamese people over the past 79 years in building, defending, and developing the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
