Hanoi (VNA) –Vietnam's tuna exports to the UShas increased stably, accounting for 15 percent of the market share in this country.
The tuna export value to the US in 2021 was estimated at about 330 million USD.
The US is now Vietnam'slargest single tuna importer, making up over 44 percent of the Southeast Asiancountry’s total tuna export value.
According to the Vietnam Associationof Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), Vietnam’s fresh and frozen tuna exportsto the US rose by 47 percent, while processed and canned tuna exports decreasedby 15 percent over the same period.

Tuna exporters in the central provinces of Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen said the number of tuna orders from the US, Canada, Brazil and Columbia in January rose significantly as compared to the same time last year.
The export value of Vietnamese tuna exports to the Israeli market by mid-August jumped by 34 percent to nearly 25 million USD compared to the same period last year, or accounted for 5.6 percent of the total tuna export value, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
