Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam-Russia oil andgas joint venture (Vietsovpetro) has successfully launched the base of theBK-21 oil rig at Bach Ho field.
The base was completed and put into operation 16 days aheadof schedule.
BK-21 rig is an uninhabited wellhead platform located nearthe MSP6 and MSP7 fixed platforms. Products exploited from BK21 will betransported to MSP6 by underground pipeline.
The base structure of BK 21 was designed with a dockingstation, a temporary drilling platform, pipelines, and superstructure blocks.
Manufacturing, installing, commissioning, and putting theBK-21 platform into operation is an important milestone in increasing oil andgas production and ensuring the completion of Vietsovpetro’s production plan in2020./.
