Hanoi (VNA) - VinFast has returned to the 2025 Montreal Electric Vehicle Show (MEVS), underwater from May 2 to 4 at IGA Stadium, Canada.
This marks the Vietnamese automaker’s second appearance at the country’s largest EV showcase, reinforcing its global expansion strategy and commitment to sustainable mobility.
At this year’s event, VinFast displays a full range of EVs, from compact models to three-row SUVs, including the VF 6, VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9. All vehicles feature modern design, smart driver assistance systems (ADAS), and advanced technology tailored to diverse consumer needs.
Attendees will also have the chance to test-drive the high-end VF 8 and VF 9 models and experience their strong performance, premium comfort, and intelligent features firsthand.
The VF 8, a mid-size electric SUV, has a 2,950mm wheelbase and dual motors delivering 402 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque. With an all-wheel drive system and a range of up to 412 km (EPA standard), it is suited for varied driving conditions.
The larger VF 9 features a 3,148mm wheelbase and similar performance specs, but offers a longer range of 531 km. With flexible six- or seven-seat configurations and an executive seating option, it targets both families and business users.
Robert Muller, Deputy CEO of VinFast Canada, said the company is excited to return to MEVS after a milestone year in Canada. He called the show a valuable opportunity to connect with EV enthusiasts and demonstrate VinFast’s growing portfolio. The VF 8 and VF 9 test drives, he added, will give visitors a real sense of the brand’s performance and technological vision.
Beyond North America, VinFast is accelerating its presence in key markets like Indonesia, the Philippines, India, and the Middle East through strong after-sales policies and a growing network of dealerships and service centres.
In Asia, VinFast has solidified its leadership in Vietnam’s automotive market since 2024 and is expanding production capacity via new plants in Indonesia and India. The company is also advancing its “Green Future” ecosystem and forging strategic partnerships to drive regio൩nal electr༺ification./.
