Hanoi (VNA) - 𒐪Northern Vinh Phuc province has worked hard over time to ship its farm produce to economic hubs in Vietnam’s north, including the capital Hanoi.

The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has organised and taken part in 20 agricultural events since 2016.
The province has teamed up with companies supplying seedlings and farming machines in switching to modern and effective varieties and bolstering mechanisation in agricultural production. The office for agro-forestry-fishery quality management and other relevant agencies have sought cooperative opportunities with companies in Hanoi specialising in farm produce, in a bid to penetrate into the city.
Local goods recognised under the “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) and safe farm produce programmes have been introduced at trade promotions attended by hundreds of agricultural producers. Events like these have contributed to building the brands of local specialties such as Tam Dao’s honey and chayote, Lap Thach’s red dragon fruit, and Bo Ly’s custard apple, among others. To raise the effectiveness of farm produce promotions and building local brands, Vinh Phuc’s agricultural sector will improve its market forecasting in the time to come and create the best conditions possible for businesses and scientific organisations to sign agreements on expanding the consumption of farm produce and exports./.
