The Federal Aviation Administration of theUnited States has awarded a FAR-145 certificate to VietnamAirlines Engineering Company (VAECO).
The FAR-145 is an international standard on aircraft maintenance services under US aviation regulations.
Addressingthe awarding ceremony in Hanoi on Jan. 21, Pham Ngoc Minh, VietnamAirlines General Director, said VAECO – the sole unit for aircraftmaintenance in Vietnam – getting the FAR-15 certificate is a steptowards realising the airline’s development strategy, helping to improveaircraft maintenance capacity as well as gradually developing theaircraft component assembly and manufacturing industries.
“This will be also a support for Vietnam Airlines’ plan to open a direct route to꧟ the US in the n✃ear future,” Minh said./.
The event aimed to update businesses on new regulations and compliance requirements regarding US tax, trade, and customs policies, while offering practical solutions to facilitate exports amid shifting trade dynamics.
