VNPT International opens office in Laos

The Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group International (VNPT-I) on December 26 inaugurated its representative office in Vientiane, Laos.

The event saw the attendance of Lao Ministerof Post and Telecommunication Hiem Phommachan, Vietnamese DeputyMinister of Information and Communication Truong Minh Tuan, VietnameseAmbassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung, and Deputy Chairman of VNPT NghiemPhu Hoang.

According to the organising board, theopening of the office marks a milestone in the company’s strategy toexpand foreign markets.

It also demonstrates thecommitment of VNPT and VNPT-I to providing high-quality telecom servicesfor the Lao market as well as affirm their capacity, prestige andposition in the Southeast Asian region and the world at large.

Also at the event, VNPT-I signed cooperation agreements with some Lao partners such as Sky Telecom and Planet ISP.-VNA
