Women arrested for trafficking drug through Vietnam-Laos border gate

Kon Tum (VNA) – Border guard force of the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum and theCustoms Sub-Department of the Bo Y International Border Gate have uncovered anillegal drug trafficking case, arresting two women.
Luong Thi Trang, a 24year-old local of Dai Nghia commune, Dai Loc district of Quang Nam province,and Y Thao, a 24-year-old woman of Dak Nong commune, Ngoc Hoi district of KonTum province, were found hiding 1kg crystal amphetamine and 367 tablets ofmeths in their luggage and bodies while passing the Bo Y International BorderGate.
They confessed that theywere transporting the drug from Laos to Vietnam for selling.
Currently, authoritiesare finalising procedures to launch legal proceedings against the two women inline with the law.-VNA
