Work on 500kW Mekong Delta transmission line to start soon

The 90km line, expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2015,passes three Mekong Delta localities of Soc Trang, Hau Giang and CanTho.

It has a total investment of 2.8 trillion VND(131.6 million USD), sourced from the Japanese NEXI Bank andcontribution by the Vietnam National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) – the project investor.

The Southern VietnamPower Project Management Board under the EVN NPT is working with thelocalities to step up ground clearance for the project as well as thecompensation for locals living in the project site.-VNA
