100 Vietnamese SMEs to enjoy support from Amazon, VIETRADE
The Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Amazon Global Selling introduced details of their plan on May 5 to support small-and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in Vietnam to expand their business globally and build their international trademarks.

Accordingto VIETRADE Director Vu Ba Phu, the programme will select 100 potentialVietnamese SMEs whose products meet Amazon’s requirements to enjoy support fromthe Amazon Global Selling, VIETRADE, and export partners.
Phu saidthat the programme aims to help promising Vietnamese SMEs improve their capacityin export through the Amazon e-commerce sales platform.
Additionally,a number of training programmes will be carried out across the nation to equipfirms with basic knowledge to successfully sell their products on theinternational market through Amazon, he said.
Businessesjoining the programme will have special benefits including training courses ondirect or online selling, in-depth support and consultations, and discounts fromlocal service suppliers during the sales process on Amazon.
At the sametime, the 100 selected firms will have opportunities to engage in the secondphase of the plan, focusing on developing the trademark of Vietnamese firms andproducts on Amazon.
Arepresentative from Amazon Global Selling said that through the programme, thefirm hopes to bring about opportunities for Vietnamese SMEs to export theirproducts to the world, especially handicrafts, apparel, footwear and leather,and consumer goods.
