120 int’l artists to attend Hanoi March Connecting

A series of art events as part of Hanoi March Connecting 2018 will take place from March 25 to April 4, gathering 120 artists from Vietnam and 18 other countries and territories.

Hanoi (VNA) - A series of art events aspart of Hanoi March Connecting 2018 will take place from March 25 to April 4,gathering 120 artists from Vietnam and 18 other countries and territories.

Hanoi March Connecting 2018 is being held by Asia Art Link and the HanoiUniversity of Industrial Fine Arts, and aims to offer an opportunity forlecturers and students of art schools in Vietnam, as well as internationalartists, to meet and exchange experiences, according to painter Trinh Tuan, amember of the organising board.

The event also serves as a rendezvous for 62 Vietnamese artists and 58international artists. “Compared with the previous two editions, this year’sevent is a breakthrough in the size and number of artists who have been invitedto attend,” said Tuan.

At the opening ceremony on March 26, two fashion collections by designer Le Haand painter Thu Tran will be introduced.

“Especially, participants at the workshop held from Mar 27-29 are able tocreate their own pieces of art on the spot, before sharing them with co-artistsand visitors,” he said.

Hanoi March Connecting was initiated annually from 2016. An exhibition of theartworks created during the event will open on March 31.-VNA
