Some 15,000 runners will participate in the 6th Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon which will take place in the city of same name from December 8-12.

HCM City (VNA) 👍– Some 15,000 runners will participate in the 6th Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathonwhich will take place in the city of same name from December 8-12.
Entitled “Runfor an outstanding Vietnam”, the tournament attracts the participation of about1,500 foreign runners and 30 Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).
The eventis organised by the Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) and Sunrise Events Vietnam.
Nguyen ThiAnh Hoa, Director of the municipal Department of Tourism, said that the marathon willlead runners through 17 sites of five districts along the Sai Gon river. Theinternational tournament is recognised in the national competition system andsuitable for athletes aged from 40 to earn points on the Wanda Abbott MarathonMajor International Age Group World Ranking System.
The eventis also under the umbrella of the third Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week themed “Greenon every journey” which is slated to take place next month in the locality, sheadded.
OnsloCarrington, Director of Sunrise Events Vietnam, said that the organisers will alsohold a KIDS RUN marathon for children from 5-14 years old, Corporate Challenge andRun Club Challenge programmes and other sideline events to create a playground forrunners.

The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Worker Support Center on August 27 cooperated with the Youth Union of Foreign Trade University Campus II to organise the 2023 "Couple Run" marathon with the participation of more than 2,000 runners.
The first Trang An Marathon -- Footstrike from the Heritage will be held over the weekend, welcoming about 3,000 athletes at Ninh Binh province's ancient capital of Hoa Lu, a special national relic site.
The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
