Accordingto the Government’s report, amending the Land Law is necessary to perfect legalregulations on land in line with socialist-oriented market economy institutions amid global integration, and strengthen land management in a way thatharmonises interests of the State, land users and investors. Themove is expected to promote commercialisation of land use rights, develop ahealthy real estate market, and establish a modern, transparent and effectiveland management system in tandem with administrative reform and digitaltransformation. Inthe afternoon, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi was the first minister toanswer questions raised by lawmakers. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on February 14 chaired the fourth meeting of the national steering committee for reviewing the implementation of Resolution No.19-NQ/TW issued by the 11th Party Central Committee on reforming land laws and policies.
The Government has proposed a delay to a submission of the draft Law on Land (amended) to the National Assembly (NA) until the Party Central Committee issues directions on reforms of land-related policies and laws.
