Thua Thien – Hue (VNA) - Arttroupes from at least 12 countries as well as Vietnam are scheduled to performin the biennial Hue Festival scheduled to take place from April 27 to May 2 inthe former royal city of Hue.

Performances will include dance, music,circus, street arts, installation arts, cinematography, and exhibitions.Participating countries include China, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Russia,Denmark, Peru, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Chile and Australia.

With the theme “Cultural Heritage withIntegration and Development”, the 10th edition of the festival aims to promotecultural exchanges with other countries and promote the image of Hue City tointernational visitors.

Hue Festival 2018 will honour the best ofVietnamese culture and arts, especially UNESCO-recognised world heritage sitesof Hue City, including the complex of Hue Monuments, Hue Royal Court Music, woodblocksand imperial records of the Nguyen Dynasty and Chinese-script poetry on Hueroyal architecture, according to the organising committee. - VNA
