2015 Good Books Awards winners announced

Forty eight winners of the annual Good Books Awards were announced at a ceremony in Hanoi on April 21.

Hanoi (VNA) ꦐ– Forty eight winners of the annual Good Books Awards were announced at a ceremony in Hanoi on April 21.

The event was part of activities to observe Vietnam Book Day (April 21) and the World Book and Copyright Day (April 23).
The best and the most beautiful works from a total of 517 publications in eight categories were selected; the categories included social science and humanities, science – technology, research, economics, and children's books. The 15 volume Lich Su Vietnam (Vietnam’s History) by the Social Science Publishing House is honoured as one of the biggest works of research on Vietnam’s history, said Vice President of the Vietnam Publishers Association Nguyen Kiem.
Meanwhile, the New-style Fairy Tale Story of the Young Publishing House comprising six books was the winner in the children’s books category, thanks to its modern life-friendly content. The Good Books Awards were initiated 11 years ago to spread the value of good books, encourage the creation of high-quality Vietnamese literature and cultivate a reading habit in society.-VNA
